702 Zirconium Crucible (Zr702/R60702) is a high-performance, high-temperature, and corrosion-resistant container precision-machined from industrial pure zirconium (Zr702 alloy). It is a core consumable in high-end metallurgy, chemical, semiconductor, and scientific research laboratories.

Excellent Corrosion Resistance: Forms a dense oxide film (ZrO₂) on the surface, resistant to hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, alkali solutions, seawater, and chlorides, superior to titanium and stainless steel.
Good Thermal Shock Resistance: Not prone to cracking under rapid heating and cooling.
High High Temperature Strength: Low creep at high temperatures under vacuum/inert environments.

II. Main Application Areas

1. Precious Metal Smelting and Refining
High-temperature smelting of platinum (Pt), rhodium (Rh), palladium (Pd), gold (Au), silver (Ag), etc.
Preparation of jewelry, industrial catalysts, and electronic pastes.
Advantages: Does not react with precious metals, no carbon pollution, long lifespan, and better cost-effectiveness than platinum crucibles.

2. Special Metallurgy and Vacuum Smelting
Smelting of active metals: titanium (Ti), tantalum (Ta), niobium (Nb), zirconium (Zr)
Precision casting of nickel-based and cobalt-based aerospace alloys
Preparation of rare earth metals and permanent magnet materials (such as NdFeB).
Advantages: Good vacuum stability, low vapor pressure, resistance to melt erosion, and accurate alloy composition.

III. Precautions for Use
Incompatible Media: Hydrofluoric acid (HF), fluoride ions, concentrated phosphoric acid (>50%), aqua regia
Atmosphere Limitations: Slow oxidation occurs at high temperatures (>600℃) in air; **vacuum/inert atmosphere (Ar)** is recommended.
Usage Limits: ≤700℃ in air, ≤2200℃ in vacuum/inert atmosphere.
